Hi, I'm Lorraine Crowe, a Certified Nutrition & Holistic Perimenopause and Menopause Coach, a natural skincare formulator and Pilates instructor.
If you had told me years ago that hormones would quietly influence nearly every part of my life—from my skin and sleep to my energy, mood, and confidence—I’m not sure I would have believed you.
Like many women, I entered midlife doing what I thought I was supposed to do. I took care of myself. I used 'quality' skincare. I stayed active and I was 'eating well'.
And yet, my body started changing in ways I didn’t recognize—or understand.
My skin became unpredictable...breakouts, dryness, irritation, and sensitivity appeared out of nowhere. My sleep became lighter and more restless, my digestion and energy dipped. My mood shifted, and weight felt harder to manage, even though I didn't change anything.
What frustrated me most wasn’t just how I felt—it was how little guidance there was.
I was met with vague explanations, poor guidance, and the familiar reassurance that “this is just part of getting older.”
Deep down, I hoped this wasn't how I was going to feel for the rest of my life, and that there must be something more.
For many women, midlife arrives with changes no one prepared them for.
Suddenly, energy feels different. Sleep becomes harder. Weight shifts without explanation. Mood and resilience change. And the advice that once worked — eat less, exercise more, push through — starts to feel like it’s doing more harm than good.
I know how disorienting that can feel.
And I also know that it doesn’t have to stay confusing.
I work with women navigating perimenopause and menopause who want clarity, education, and grounded support — not extreme protocols, not fear-based messaging, and not another list of things they’re failing at.
